Colorado Springs-Colorado-Martin Drake Power Plant Fire Incident-CSFD 4 Alarm Fire
Date of Incident: May 5, 2014
Colorado Springs Firefighters worked a four alarm fire at the Martin Drake Power Plant near W. Cimarron Street and Interstate 25. CSFD responded with 20 fire units, 80 fire fighters, and over 20 support personnel on scene. Two Colorado Springs Utilities Employees, sustained minor injuries, and one was taken to a local hospital. No fire fighters have been injured at this time. Crews continue to work hot spots and assess the damage.
